Whether you’re traveling by car or air, getting to 29 Palms is easy as we’re conveniently located just 1-hour northeast of Palm Springs International Airport and 1.5-hours from Ontario International Airport. If you’re flying, our accessible airports include:

Twentynine Palms Airport: This airport serves light aircraft and gliders and is owned by the County of San Bernardino, CA. Located about six miles east of downtown, the airport has two runways for small planes. Runway 8/26 is a paved runway extending 5,531 feet. Runway 17/35 is paved and 3,797 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 1,888 feet. Tie ups are available.

Palm Springs International Airport (PSP): This international airport is 50 miles southwest of Twentynine Palms. Served by 10 major air carriers, it has nonstop flights to numerous airports in the U.S. and Canada and acts as a major hub for connections to cities worldwide.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): As the primary international airport serving Los Angeles, this airport offers nonstop flights to destinations around the world. Roughly 157 miles east of Twentynine Palms, you can catch a flight to the Palm Springs Airport from LAX or embark on a road trip get to your destination.

Los Angeles: Approximately a 2.5 to 3-hour drive

San Diego: Approximately a 3.5 to 4.5-hour drive

San Francisco: Approximately a 9-hour drive (1.5-hour flight to Palm Springs)

Las Vegas: Approximately 3 to 3.5-hour drive

Phoenix: Approximately 4 to 4.5-hour drive (1-hour, 10-minute flight to Palm Springs)

If you’re flying in to the Palm Springs Airport first, Twentynine Palms is only a 45-minute to 1-hour drive to the northeast.
